Issue/Conflict Resolution Policy

 

Substance Abuse, and Harassment, Bullying, Neglect, Physical and/or Verbal Abuse towards and among coaches, officials, parents, and players, is not acceptable behaviour and will be subject to disciplinary action. Mutual respect is a requirement in all dealings.

 

TIPS:

Conflicts should not be dealt with during games or practices

Allow 24 hour cool-off period

Walk away from conflict

Bring in third party (can be team manager) where resolution cannot be met

Escalate unresolved conflicts to the executive (in writing)

Think positive; be positive

Mutual Respect as a must

POLICY:

 

The Team Manager shall be responsible to discuss the Code of Conduct and Issue/Conflict Resolution Policy with the parents and coaches at the first Team Meeting (at the beginning of the season).
