CMHA Team Fund Raising and Finances Policy

1) All Team fundraising proposals must be submitted in writing to the executive and approved by the executive on a case by case basis.

2) All Teams must submit a team budget before being eligible to do Team fundraising.

3) Team fundraising, cannot compete against CMHA wide fund raising programs.

4) All monies resulting from team fundraising will be held in trust by CMHA until the 'Team' meets the fundraising requirements as described in items 1 through 3.

5)  Finances are to be kept by the team and are subject to guidelines as set out by CMHA

6)  All teams under CMHA must participate in all CMHA fundraisers.

7)  Any team sponsorship must have prior approval of CMHA.

8)  Team money can be used to pay for tournaments, coaching/team items, and your year-end party (ex: trophies, venue, etc); it cannot be used to buy clothing (ex: track suits) or offset player/coach accommodations.

9)  At the end of the year you need to provide a reconciliation of funds to Chester Minor Hockey and close any bank accounts.  In addition, any money not spent by the end of the year then the money gets refunded back to Chester Minor Hockey. 

10)  Any requirements for additional ice or officials are to be booked in the coach’s name and paid for from the team budget.
