Team Staff Applications
Coaching Applications
Each year, CMHA looks for coaches, managers, and safety reps for all divisions. CMHA is run by volunteers. Teams cannot run unless these roles are filled. Applications are open until September 1, 2026.
If you want to coach as a head coach, assistant coach, or training coach, please download and complete the 2026-2027 CMHA Coaching Application. Please email your completed form to both Amber Fiander at recdirector@chesterravens.com and JR Perry at compdirector@chesterravens.com.
Team Managers and Safety Reps
You do not need to fill out an application to be a team manager or safety rep. If you are interested, please email secretary@chesterravens.com. In your email, tell us which role you are interested in and what age level you would like to volunteer for.
Volunteer Requirements
To volunteer with CMHA, you need a Spordle account and a Hockey Canada Registry number. If this is your first course or training program, you will create your account when you sign up.
Each volunteer role has different training rules. For the most up-to-date list, please visit Hockey Nova Scotia’s website here: https://hockeynovascotia.ca/coach/coaching-requirements/ Choose the level of play you want to volunteer for to see what you need.
You must pay for your courses first. This may include coaching certification, first aid (if not participating in a CMHA organized group training), and other Hockey Nova Scotia or Hockey Canada volunteer requirements. CMHA will pay you back after you finish the required training.
Before you register for any courses, it is best to check with Risk Management to make sure you are taking the ones. You can email Angela Taylor at riskmanagement@chesterravens.com with questions.
